History
Founded in 1989, the company initially developed backup solutions for Unix systems. In 2004, Unitrends developed the first of its appliances after completing its initial venture capital funding.The company's products now protect more than 30 operating systems with a single appliance.
In 2008, additional venture funding has allowed for continued growth in all areas of the company. Through its strong leadership team and continuously growing first-class workforce, Unitrends has emerged as a leader in the Disaster Recovery and Business Systems Continuity market, with more than 1,500 systems installed worldwide.
